SERVICE Laboratory of Dr. Stephane Richard
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
PLACE OF WORK: 3755 Côte-Sainte-Catherine Road, Montréal, QC H3T 1E2
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
START DATE: August 2026
SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary range:$42,000 to $53,000 per year
20 vacation days per year
13 statutory holidays
9.6 sick days

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A full-time Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Stéphane
Richard at the Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research (LDI) /McGill University
(Montreal, Canada).
Our overall mission is to perform molecular biology research in the fields of cancer and
neuroscience. Our research is aimed at understanding the roles of protein arginine
methylation and RNA binding proteins in diseases such as cancer. Our group is actively
pursuing the molecular roles of protein methylation and RNA binding proteins in
epigenetics, RNA metabolism, and DNA damage signaling.
The ideal candidate is a well organized and committed team-oriented Research
Assistant with some molecular/cellular biology experience and willing to work with
mouse models.
The hired RA will report directly to Dr. S. Richard and perform lab research.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc or MSc (in Biochemistry or similar discipline) with less than 3 years research
experience.
- An excellent understanding and experience of basic molecular techniques (WB,
PCR) and cellular techniques (culture of adherent cancer cell lines).
- Excellent communication skills in English and/or French

residents, or work permit holders).
