About the Job

Join Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) and help build the data foundation of a new, regulated online gaming platform in Alberta.

AiGC is seeking a Human Resources Associate to provide operational support across all human resource functions within the corporation, supporting the Director, Human Resources in delivering strategic HR initiatives and overseeing day-to-day HR operations.

You will be based in Edmonton and work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to support AIGC’s operations.

Who You Are

You will contribute to the delivery of HR services including recruitment, classification, compensation, records management, and employee engagement. The Associate ensures consistent and compliant delivery of HR services across the organization, a key role in maintaining HR documentation, tracking organizational structures, and staffing data, and supporting the implementation of HR policies and tools.

About the Role

In this role, you will own:

IHR Operations and Service Delivery

  • Oversee and ensure effective delivery of day‑to‑day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and benefits, while maintaining service standards and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all HR activities and recruitment processes are consistently administered in compliance with corporate policies, frameworks, and applicable legislation.

Policy and Framework Implementation

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HR frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring they reflect organizational needs and best practices.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies across divisions by providing guidance to leaders and staff and maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date HR guides, templates, and reference materials.

Workforce Planning and Organizational Structure

  • Maintain and report on job descriptions, classification levels, organizational structures, and FTE staffing allocations to support workforce planning and organizational design initiatives.

Compensation, Benefits, and Classification

  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, manage pay adjustments, and conduct job classification reviews while maintaining accurate job evaluation documentation and responding to related employee inquiries.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance concerns.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and culture-building events.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace aligned with corporate values.

What you Bring

  • 2-year diploma in a related field and 1 year of related experience.
  • Equivalency: A related 1-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 2 years of related experience; or directly related education or experience considered based on: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
