Description
This position is for recent university graduates from regular or CO-OP programs, yet candidates with one or two years of experience working for a mining company or a consulting company are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills, as well as be a team player.
By joining our team, your role will be to collaborate with members of multidisciplinary teams (engineers, technicians, drafters and other colleagues) on one or several projects. You will perform functions related to engineering such as studies, preliminary and detailed engineering, commissioning or site secondment.

Apply established calculation and design methods

Receive theoretical and practical training on the various work phases in line with own knowledge from formal courses

Take part in preparing reports, specifications, estimates and tenders

Provide assistance to engineers, designers and technicians when performing tasks requiring accuracy in both calculations and data collection

Understand, master and apply the profession's practice guidelines.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Mining or Geological Engineering from a recognized University

Ability to register as a Professional Engineer in Canada

One or two years of relevant experience in underground mining

Experience with mine planning software such as Deswik, Datamine, MineSched, Vulcan, or , Minesight

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Asset: Budgeting, estimating and scheduling experience with financial modelling skills

Asset: Experience in mine equipment selection
-
Asset, Capital cost and operating cost estimates
-
Asset: Underground mining and operations experience
-
Travel to domestic and occasionally international destinations is required (minimum 30% of the time)
