Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile the daily cash position and monthly banking reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze the weekly financial reporting and assist with monthly financial statements preparation.
- Prepare monthly internal audit compliance reporting to be reviewed by the Controller. This includes reconciling general ledger balance sheet accounts to ensure integrity of financial data and following up on any outstanding issues with various departments.
- Assist with providing financial information for external auditors during year-end.
- Compile annual income tax file for the tax department to assist the filing of the corporate tax return.
- Compile financial information for ad hoc reporting. This also includes the gathering of information for various tax audits, internal requests from various departments etc.
Qualifications
- Finance related community college diploma or University Degree
- 1 to 3 years of Accounting Experience
- Willing to pursue a professional accounting designation
- Competency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Efficient time management skills
- Conscientiousness and attention to detail
