Natural Resource Organization with multiple TSXV listed Companies is seeking a Junior Accountant/Accounts Payable in Junior Mining Industry

For the successful candidate, this is an opportunity to get involved with an entrepreneurial and growing group focused on developing a portfolio of assets. This Junior Accountant/Accounts Payable position reports to the Controller and works closely with the executive team on daily bookkeeping, quarterly and annual reports, and financial management.

As Ore Group continues to expand its operations, we are looking for a bright new talent to join our team. The Junior Accountant/Accounts Payable will collaborate directly with various business functions and play an important role in delivering accurate financial records.

Responsibilities.

·      Manage the monthly accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely payments and accurate bank reconciliations.

·      Assist with the full accounting cycle including, month-end process, non-routine accounting transactions, and quarter-end financial reporting.

·      Support the annual audit process by providing required documentation and responding to auditor requests.

·      Ensure proper approvals, documentation, and adherence to internal controls.

·      Constantly look out for process improvement opportunities using workflow automation and AI-powered tools.

·      Respond to inquiries from vendors and team members

·      Prepare regulatory filings and support special projects as requested.

Candidate Characteristics.

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or a related field.

Prior experience working with accounts payable or accounting.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

A team player with the ability to work independently and think proactively.

Flexible and willing to work extended hours during reporting periods.

Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset.
