Role Description

This is a temporary, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Mississauga, ON. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, such as preparing financial statements, processing accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. The role will also involve maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax filings, and collaborating with team members to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and processing accounts payable and receivable
• Knowledge of tax preparation, compliance, and accounting software
• Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in a similar accounting role is an asset but not mandatory
