Mississauga, Ontario | Hybrid (3 Days In Office) The Opportunity

Our client is a respected Canadian organization seeking an Accountant to join its growing Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across financial reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while partnering with stakeholders throughout the business.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build their career in a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing meaningful insights to business leaders.
  • Partner with internal departments to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and support day-to-day accounting needs.
  • Contribute to process improvements and help strengthen financial controls and reporting practices.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • CPA designation in progress is considered an asset.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience with exposure to financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
