Junior Data Analyst

Role : Junior Analytics Engineer / Data Engineer – Ecommerce (Contract)

Location : North York (Onsite)

Hourly Rate: $25-30/hr

Our client is a large, enterprise-scale organization operating in the ecommerce and digital advertising space. They are undergoing a major transformation of their data and analytics capabilities following the implementation of a new data tracking platform and are investing heavily in data-driven decision-making across sales, marketing, and performance teams.

Your New Role

As a Junior Analytics Engineer, you’ll join a cross-functional ecommerce analytics team to help rebuild and enhance reporting and insights after a recent platform change. You’ll work hands-on with raw advertising and ecommerce data, designing dashboards, KPI reporting, and actionable insights that support sales performance, digital advertising effectiveness, and executive decision-making.

You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across multiple teams to understand data requirements, translate business questions into analytics solutions, and deliver reliable reporting in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 1+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering roles
• Strong background working with ecommerce, digital advertising, or ad-tech data
• Advanced SQL skills (critical requirement)
• Hands-on experience with Tableau (Power BI or similar BI tools also accepted)
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (or another major cloud provider)
• Strong experience with Google BigQuery or cloud-based data warehouses
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and gather reporting requirements across multiple teams
• Experience building dashboards, KPI reporting, and data-driven insights from raw datasets
