Role Description

We have an exciting opening within our dynamic team for a Junior Electrical Test Engineer. This role presents the opportunity to help the product development team create cutting edge products. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and a passion for prototyping, testing, and continuous learning and improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate, debug, and improve our electronic products. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with electronics test tools and equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Comfortable with electrical engineering theory and lab practices
  • Experience in troubleshooting circuits and performing root-cause analysis
  • Knowledge of common protocols, including Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART, and USB
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC and mixed-signal PCB fundamentals
  • Able to work independently under project timelines and adapt in a dynamic team environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, comfortable with developing professional detailed documentation

Additional Skills

  • Exposure to PCB design tools (e.g. Fusion 360, EAGLE, KiCAD)
  • Experience in scripting and debugging with Python an asset
  • Familiarity with software revision control (e.g. Git)
