Now Hiring: FullTime Lumber and Building Supply Sales Associate (Counter Sales Associate)
Location: Georgetown, ON
Position Type: FullTime
We are currently seeking a Customerfocused Counter Sales Associate to join our team at our Georgetown location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, has an interest and knowledge in building materials, and thrives in a fastpaced retail environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Counter Sales Associate, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting daily sales and inventory operations.
Customer Service
- Assist customers in person and over the phone
- Process orders accurately and efficiently
- Resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints
- Follow up to ensure customer commitments are met
- Assist with carryouts as needed
Order Processing & Inventory Support
- Enter instore and phone orders
- Arrange deliveries and supplier orders
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and shelf stocking
- Assist with receiving, pricing, and restocking products
- Investigate inventory discrepancies
Department & Store Maintenance
- Keep displays organized, wellsigned, and clean
- Maintain safe, clutterfree aisles and storage areas
- Assemble products for display when required
Additional Responsibilities
- Propane tank filling (training and certification provided if required)
- Assist with special projects and general store duties
- Act as an onthejob trainer when assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Previous retail, counter sales, or building materials experience is an asset
- Product knowledge in building materials such as drywall, lumber, insulation, shingles, plywood, and related products is required
- Ability to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
- Ladder Climbing
- Working in a warehouse and retail environment
Hours of Work
Varying schedule including evenings and weekends.
