Base wages + tips + commissions
As Boutique Sales Associate and Instructor, you are a brand ambassador of Kandl Artistique and will work closely with the team to drive sales. Superb interpersonal and leadership skills are vital for this role and essential for our business success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional boutique sales, customer service, and processes in-store and e-commerce transactions
- Build client lists and maintain relationships that foster loyalty and brand advocacy
- Lead and guide candle-making educational workshops for groups of 12-30 people and assist with candle-making labs, packaging and labelling
- Serve café beverages, routine cleaning of the candle-making lab equipment, and maintain the appearance of the café
- Extensive routine cleaning and maintenance of store displays
- Manage packaging and shipments of e-commerce and custom-made products
- Respond to customer email inquiries both in person, over the phone and online
- Partake in educational sessions on product and vendor training
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure all company activities adhere to legal guidelines and policies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- 2-3 years of customer-facing sales experience is a must
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-confident, creative, innovative
- Can make something complex easy to understand
- Willing to help and look for solutions to problems
- Values each person, no matter their position, empathetic
- Team-oriented and willing to receive coaching
- Eager to go above and beyond when needed to be successful and customer-focused
- Organizational skills, time management and prioritization skills

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in customer service, client outreach, and sales
- Teaching workshops, classes, sessions, or courses is an asset (art, creative, yoga, meditation, etc.)
- Entrepreneurial-minded with a passion for connecting with clients directly
- Smart Serve certification (can be obtained after successful offer of employment)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
