Overview:

Position Summary

The Sales Associate, New Car, is responsible for delivering an exceptional new vehicle purchasing experience for customers while supporting the dealership’s sales goals. This role engages with customers on the showroom floor, identifies their needs, presents OEM vehicle options, and guides them through the sales and delivery process. As a frontline representative of the dealership and OEM brand, the Sales Associate maintains strong product knowledge, professionalism, and a customer first approach.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in the showroom promptly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression.
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements, lifestyle, and budget.
  • Present and demonstrate new vehicle models, features, technologies, and OEM advantages.
  • Guide customers through the full sales process, including test drives, product walkarounds, and delivery coordination.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all new OEM models, trim levels, packages, and competitive offerings.
  • Utilize CRM tools to log customer interactions, follow-ups, appointments, and sales progress.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers, F&I, Service, and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient transaction.
  • Participate in dealership sales events, product launches, and showroom merchandising activities.
  • Complete all required paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Engage in ongoing training to strengthen sales techniques, product expertise, and customer service skills.
  • All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred; automotive industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain detailed vehicle features and technology.
  • Goal oriented with a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and digital retailing tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
