Sales Associate

Permanent - Full Time (Days including Saturdays)
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service as per company standards, working with a Point of Sale (POS) system, generating sales, merchandising and general upkeep of the store’s cleanliness and appearance.
Other responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting, acknowledging and re-approaching every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service. - Assisting in merchandising, displays and maintenance of the store’s cleanliness. - Replenishing merchandise, monitoring floor stock and processing shipments. - Directing customers in locating merchandise. - Processing cash/credit/debit purchases at register using a Point of Sale (POS) system. - Other tasks as assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager.
Additional Secondary Responsibilities may include:
- Battery Installation, engraving, jewellery polishing and jewellery cleaning.
Training Expectations:
- We provide job specific education as required the successful candidate will be required to gain significant knowledge in diamonds and diamond grading, jewellery repair and design, as well as various other job specific skills that may be required.
- We have an onsite facility where tools and machines are in use. Training in safety as well as use of some of the equipment and tools will be required. The candidate will be exposed to a shop type environment.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of retail or customer service experience. - Excellent customer service abilities. - Outgoing and able to communicate with associates and customers. - Friendly disposition and positive attitude.

-Seeking a detail-oriented candidate with strong computer and email communication skills. The ideal applicant must be comfortable using computer applications for custom design work and preparing accurate customer quotes in a fast-paced environment.

Other:
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and moderate lifting is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
