About The Role We are seeking an AI-Driven Full Stack Engineer to join our innovative team as we build a groundbreaking new product line that will revolutionize the insurance broker experience. In this role, you will work across the entire technology stack, contributing to both frontend and backend development, with a particular focus on integrating AI and machine learning models into our applications. Your responsibilities will include designing scalable backend services, developing intuitive user interfaces, and collaborating closely with senior AI engineers to deploy and optimize models in production environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced startup environment, where your work directly impacts the future of insurance in Canada and beyond. You will participate in architecture discussions, contribute to company-wide engineering initiatives, and help shape the technological direction of our products. Qualifications
- Strong full-stack development experience with proficiency in Python, React, Redux, and PostgreSQL
- Experience working with AWS cloud services
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts from coursework, side projects, or professional experience
- Hands-on experience or projects involving AI APIs/models such as prompt engineering or data extraction
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks
- Previous experience with architecture planning, code reviews, and release management is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement full-stack features for our AI-powered web applications using Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS
- Integrate AI models and APIs to enable functionalities such as document processing, data extraction, and recommendation engines
- Collaborate with senior AI engineers to seamlessly deploy and optimize AI models in production environments
- Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and frameworks, exploring their application within our products
- Build scalable, reliable backend services that support AI workflows and data processing
- Create user-centric interfaces that effectively showcase AI-driven capabilities
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and ideation sessions to improve system design
- Take ownership of feature development from conception through deployment, coordinating with QA and other teams
- Engage in cross-team communication to unblock dependencies, streamline release processes, and improve overall development flow
- Contribute ideas during quarterly planning and company-wide initiatives such as hackathons and AI tooling experiments
