THE ROLE:
The SPARK Program is Navacord Alberta’s summer internship experience designed to provide students and recent graduates with meaningful, hands-on exposure to the insurance and risk management industry. Interns will gain practical experience, build professional networks, and develop core business skills in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support day-to-day operations across assigned departments (e.g., Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Employee Benefits, Finance, or Marketing)
  • Assist with client service activities, including documentation, data entry, and policy administration
  • Conduct research and analysis to support team initiatives and projects
  • Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and team collaborations
  • Contribute to process improvements and special projects
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Deliver a final presentation summarizing internship experience and key learnings

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field preferred)
  • Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in business or financial services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
