Job Description:

Reporting to theĀ Manager, Enrolment Services and Student Success,Ā the incumbentĀ is the primary contact for a diverse population of full-timeĀ and part-timeĀ students andĀ fulfills multiple responsibilities related to specializedĀ progressionĀ supportsĀ and guidance whileĀ meeting and exceeding student success and retention objectives.Ā The incumbent is requiredĀ to coordinate and maintain a portfolio of student programs that includesĀ case management processes,Ā analyzingĀ detailed academic records, andĀ communicatingĀ a wide variety of information to help facilitate learner success.

In providing high-quality client service,Ā the incumbentĀ builds relationships with learners through focused outreach and communication supports, as well asĀ student appointments.Ā Ā The incumbent utilizes technology-enabled applications to help plan, develop and deliver focused and self-directedĀ progression and registration services, which relate to learner retentionĀ andĀ success.Ā 

Working withĀ an integratedĀ team ofĀ Student Success Specialists(s),Ā Registration and Records Officers, Financial Aid and Student AwardsĀ Officers,Ā the incumbent supportsĀ learners throughout the student lifecycle, from registration to graduation.

EmployingĀ a variety of college technology systems andĀ early alertsĀ to monitor, track andĀ create reportsĀ the incumbentĀ determinesĀ specific retention supportsĀ and contributes to the strategic enrolment management process. Maintaining aĀ personalizedĀ and continuousĀ focus on the learner experience is central to the role.Ā This positionĀ is responsible for identifying process improvements and recommending new initiatives and strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Career Development, or any other program with a Cooperative Education component. Equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in providing client service and/orĀ generalĀ advisingĀ forĀ aĀ diverse clientele preferably in an educational setting.

This position requires regular on-site work at Algonquin College’s Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.
