Full Description

Capstone Infrastructure Corporation is seeking an AI Enablement Intern to join our IT team. This role will report to the IT System Administrator and is a newly created position. This is a hybrid full-time position as a summer (May 2026 to August 2026) internship with a compensation of $25 per hour.

In this role, you will help teams across Capstone adopt AI tools safely and effectively. You’ll create training materials, run automation pilots, and build a clear picture of how AI is being used across the organization.

Key Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

User Education & Enablement

  • Help employees use AI tools confidently in their day-to-day work
  • Create quick-start guides, custom agents, and how-to videos for common use cases.
  • Run lunch-and-learns / office hours for different skill levels
  • Collect feedback and track adoption signals
  • Exploration of other AI tools available within the market

Automation Discovery

  • Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across the organization.
  • Conduct a short AI/automation inventory across departments
  • Map where AI fits into existing workflows and potential automation pathways
  • Develop an opportunity backlog/Gantt chart to track problem statements, impacted users, risk level, candidate tool(s), and recommended next step

Data Tagging

  • Help organize content within SharePoint so that AI tools can better identify data
  • Propose a tagging/light taxonomy for SharePoint work products
  • Recommend storage/retention patterns that improve retrieval and reduce duplication.

Policy & Guardrails for AI Adoption

  • You will help operationalize common-sense guardrails using existing policies, vendor constraints, and regulatory guidelines
  • Work with senior management to develop and revamp existing policies to evolve with AI Adoption while reducing risk surface and maintaining agile workflows

Qualifications and Experience:

An ideal candidate would satisfy the following:

  • Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a program in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills: can teach, write how-to, and work with various stakeholders
  • Hands-on comfort with modern productivity tools (primarily Microsoft 365)
  • Demonstrated interest in AI tools and workflow improvement (GenAI, automation, agents).
  • Hands-on comfort with modern programming tools (PowerShell, Python, Power Automate)
  • Highly organized, initiative-taking, and meticulous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
