Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant to support ongoing cardiometabolic and lifestyle medicine research projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in medical research, manuscript preparation, literature review, statistics, and scientific data presentation.
The role involves assisting with research organization, manuscript formatting, statistical interpretation, chart/graph preparation, and publication support for medical journals.
Ideal Candidate:
Someone who is passionate about clinical research, understands scientific writing, and can independently assist with data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and publication-quality research work.
Responsibilities:
Assist with medical and clinical research projects
Prepare and edit scientific manuscripts for journal submission
Conduct literature reviews and organize references
Perform or assist with basic statistical analysis
Create charts, graphs, tables, and data visualizations
Help identify confounding factors and improve study methodology
Organize Excel datasets and research documentation
Assist with formatting according to journal guidelines (APA/Vancouver/NEJM style as needed)
Support publication and submission processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in medicine, health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or scientific research
Experience with manuscript writing or published research preferred
Knowledge of Excel, SPSS, R, or statistical tools is an asset
Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical research methods
Strong academic writing and analytical skills
Detail-oriented and organized
