JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT & Data Analytics Co‑op Student will support Burnbrae Farms’ IT team by contributing to both daily IT operations and data, analytics, and automation initiatives. This role provides hands‑on experience supporting end users, enterprise systems, and reporting, while gaining exposure to real‑world business data and technology solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, and business stakeholders to help improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and technology‑enabled processes across the organization.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT Operations & Support

  • Assist with first‑level IT support by resolving day‑to‑day issues through the IT ticketing system
  • Assist with the set up, configuration, and deployment laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and other endpoint equipment
  • Support new hire onboarding by assisting with system access and basic IT orientation

  • Assist with hardware and software installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance

  • Assist with user administration, security access cards, company cellphones, and systems health checks
  • Document procedures and contribute to IT and end‑user knowledge base articles as required.

Data, Analytics & Automation

  • Assist in building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, including data validation and visualization enhancements
  • Support the definition and documentation of KPIs and metrics to ensure consistent and trusted reporting
  • Help analyze data trends and prepare insights for business stakeholders
  • Support data preparation, cleansing, and basic transformations across enterprise data sources
  • Assist with documentation related to data definitions, data quality issues, and data lineage
  • Gain exposure to SAP and non‑SAP data structures and enterprise integrations
  • Assist in developing workflow automations using Microsoft Power Automate or similar low‑code/no‑code tools
  • Participate in proof‑of‑concept initiatives related to analytics, automation, or AI use cases

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a computer science, data analytics or equivalent program with an 8 month or 12 month co-op term.
  • Basic experience with data analysis or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, or low‑code platforms is an asset
  • Interest in data, analytics, AI, and process automation within an enterprise context
  • Strong interest in AI, analytics, automation, and data‑driven problem solving
  • Curiosity about how AI and automation are applied in real enterprise environments
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team setting
  • Organized, curious, and outcome‑oriented mindset
