Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Full Stack Engineer based in Toronto, ON or Montreal.
The Full Stack Engineer intern will collaborate with the product and design teams to build, test, and refine features across the full web stack, mobile app and Cloud infrastructure.
Daily responsibilities include implementing responsive user interfaces, developing and maintaining back-end services and APIs, and integrating front-end and back-end components.
The intern will help debug and resolve technical issues, participate in code reviews, and contribute to improving performance, reliability, and security. The role also involves writing clear technical documentation and supporting iterative product experiments to enhance the user experience on the WevSocial platform.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Front-End Development, including building responsive interfaces and styling with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
- Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side logic.
- Foundational skills in Software Development, including version control, debugging, and testing practices.
- Interest and growing ability in Full-Stack Development, integrating front-end and back-end components into cohesive features.
- Familiarity with at least one modern web framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, or similar) and one server-side language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in social connection, community-focused products, or mission-driven technology is a plus.
