Full Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications for a fintech startup. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code. The applicant must have a strong desire to work for a startup and be willing to push the boundaries of what is possible in the AI accounting industry.

The position is for a paid internship with possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Develop quality software and web applications in Typescript/React & NodeJS/NestJS
  • Design highly scalable, testable code using Claude Code and VS code
  • Provide input and knowledge during project planning
  • Analyze and maintain existing software applications
  • Discover and fix programming bugs
  • Recommend and design security tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience working for a tech company or related tech projects
  • Full-stack development experience with Typescript/React & NodeJS/NestJS
  • Experience with Firestore/Firebase or with other NoSQL databases
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting or finance
  • Strong interest working for a startup
  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian university

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience working with the Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong knowledge of corporate accounting and finance
  • Good understanding of networking and cloud architecture
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts
