Description:
The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills in a wide variety of water resource projects. We are open to applicants across Ontario, but preference will be given to those in Sudbury.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
- Registration with PEO, or another provincial regulator, as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.),
- 0 to 4 years of experience in project management, design, hydraulics, and construction contract administration in the following areas of practice is desired:
- Hydropower development, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering.
- Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering,
- Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents,
- Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties,
- Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
