About the role

InFocus Film School is looking for a creative and motivated Junior Marketing & Content Coordinator to support the school's day-to-day marketing efforts. This person will serve as the campus marketing presence, responsible for producing ad creative and promotional materials, capturing live event content, and working closely with our central marketing team in Calgary.

This role is ideal for someone with demonstrated experience in graphic design, social media content creation, and short-form video editing who is comfortable being on the ground at events as well as behind the design tools. The successful candidate will create Facebook/Meta ad graphics, social media content, flyers, and promotional videos. We are looking for team members who want to grow, contribute, and help students take the next step toward their future.

What You Will Do

  • Design Facebook/Meta ad graphics, images, and flyers, plus all other marketing and promotional materials for digital ads, social media, events, and campaigns
  • Edit and produce short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
  • Serve as the on-campus marketing representative for InFocus, capturing photo and video content at campus events, open houses, student showcases, and school initiatives
  • Plan, schedule, and post social media content
  • Assist with promoting events, open houses, student showcases, and school initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the central marketing team in Calgary to align on campaigns, creative direction, and brand standards
  • Maintain a consistent brand identity across all marketing materials
  • Create and update posters, flyers, presentations, and other promotional assets
  • Support website and digital content updates as needed
  • Monitor content performance and assist with basic reporting
  • Use AI tools where appropriate to support content creation and workflow efficiency

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience, internship, freelance, or portfolio-based experience in marketing, content creation, social media, or graphic design (required)
  • Proficient graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Express, or similar tools
  • Experience creating and editing short-form videos for social media
  • Comfortable capturing photo and video on location at live events
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms, including paid social (Meta/Facebook ads)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, collaborate with a remote team, and meet deadlines

Nice to have

  • Diploma or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or Graphic Design
  • Experience designing paid or organic social media ads
  • Photography or videography skills for live event capture
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar platforms
  • Interest in film, media, education, or creative industries
