Company Description Heritage Mining Ltd. is a public junior exploration company listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE:HML) and the Boerse Frankfurt Exchange (FRA:Y66). The company is led by an experienced board and management team with over 100 years of combined mining and exploration expertise and a strong record of successful projects, including Trelawny, Bell Creek, Joubie Gold Mine, and Grasberg. Heritage Mining is well-capitalized with a tight capital structure and approximately 57 million common shares outstanding.

The Melba project is located ~22km northeast from Kirkland Lake and 90km southeast of Timmins in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. The project is comprised of ~3,886Ha. Melba lies along the Ross Fault, which is a splay off the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone and is associated with development-stage and historic producing gold mines: McEwen Mine (Grey Fox Mine, +1Moz Au) ~22km away, and the Ross Mine (+1Moz Au) ~16km away.

Role Description The Junior Project Geologist is a contract, part-time to full-time, hybrid role based in Ramore, ON, and Sioux Lookout ON, with the ability to perform some duties from home when operationally appropriate. The role involves supporting exploration programs through field-based activities such as geological mapping, outcrop and trench sampling, oriented core logging, and assisting with drill supervision. The Junior Project Geologist will help plan and execute daily field campaigns, collect and record high-quality geological data, and ensure accurate sample handling, labeling, and transport. Responsibilities include contributing to geophysical and geochemical survey planning, maintaining organized digital and physical records, and assisting with data compilation and interpretation using geological software. The role also involves collaborating closely with senior geologists, contractors, and field crews, following safety protocols, and participating in regular project updates and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Strong field-based skills, including Field Work and Geological Mapping, with the ability to work safely and effectively in remote and variable outdoor conditions.
  • Competence in core Logging and Drilling support, including core handling, detailed lithological and structural descriptions, and sampling procedures.
  • Familiarity with Geophysics as it relates to mineral exploration, including basic interpretation of geophysical survey results and integration with geological data.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or in progress, near completion) in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proficiency with common geological and GIS software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, ArcGIS, QGIS) and strong skills in data entry and digital record keeping.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise field notes, logs, and technical summaries.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices in field and camp settings.
