Marketing Research & Analytics Intern

Compensation: $39,130 per year

As a Marketing Research and Analytics Intern, you’ll dig into the data to help us understand our visitors, from who they are to how they engage with us. You’ll spot trends, uncover insights, and help turn information into ideas that shape real experiences across the North.

Science North is seeking to fill a one-year internship opportunity that will start as soon as possible. All applicants MUST meet the following internship program eligibility requirements:

  • must be a new entrant into the workforce, be transitioning to a new career, or be unemployed or underemployed and entering a new field
  • resides in Northern Ontario
  • must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Once hired, must reside in Sudbury - Not suitable for remote work

Position Highlights:Reporting to the Senior Marketing Specialist, you will:

  • Analyze website performance, identify SEO opportunities, and provide recommendations for future improvement
  • Report on website and digital analytics
  • Conduct website audits to assess concerns, broken links, and SEO issues
  • Gather and analyze data from website traffic, email campaigns and social media engagement reports
  • Research consumer behavior and generate reports on target audience preferences, demographics, and engagement trends
  • Conduct admission and membership research
  • Research new digital platforms
  • Support digital ad and email creation and deployment

Qualifications:

  • Educational background or equivalent experience in marketing, digital or SEO analytics is required
  • Research experience is an asset
  • Fluency in English required
  • Superior knowledge of O365, Google analytics (other software??)

  • Ability to multi-task and adjust quickly to changing priorities or organizational needs
  • Outstanding communication skills, possessing a high level of verbal and written proficiency
