We are seekingĀ aĀ Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Intern to join our IT team and support the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. This role offers an excitingĀ opportunity to explore real-world DevOps and SRE practices in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where learning and innovation go hand in hand.

Responsibilities

  • AssistĀ in detecting and responding to systemĀ issues andĀ help document incident reports and post-mortems.

  • Support application deployment and stability by collaborating with development and operations teams.

  • Contribute to automating routine tasks and writing scripts/tools to improve efficiency and system reliability.

  • Help implement and improve monitoring systems (e.g., Datadog) and build dashboards to visualize system health.

  • Learn about disaster recovery planning and performanceĀ optimization andĀ support documentation efforts.

  • Participate in system design discussions, capacity planning, and team brainstorming sessions.

  • ExploreĀ new technologies, share ideas, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • TheĀ roleĀ involvesĀ dailyĀ (orĀ regular) communicationĀ withĀ pan-Canadian stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in software engineering,Ā computerĀ science, or a related field.

  • Interest in infrastructure, automation, and system reliability.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an asset.

  • Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, observability platforms).

  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus.

  • Strong initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
